How to Delete Your Account

Option 1: Delete from the App

Open the Selva app
Go to your Profile tab
Tap Settings (gear icon)
Select the Account tab
Tap Delete Account
Enter your password to confirm your identity
Confirm deletion in the final prompt

Your account will be deactivated immediately and data deletion will begin.

Option 2: Request via Email

If you cannot access the app, send an email to privacy@selvaapp.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Include the email address associated with your Selva account. We will process your request and respond within 48 hours.

What Data Is Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

Category	Details
Account Information	Email, username, display name, profile photo
Environmental Assets	All trees and living layers you logged, including species, planting dates, and GPS coordinates
Photos	All photos associated with your trees, living layers, and profile
Social Data	Follows, followers, comments, and reactions
Activity History	Feed activity and notification history
Leaderboard Rankings	Your entries are removed from all leaderboards

Your profile and all associated content will be removed from the community map, feed, and all public views immediately upon deletion.

What Data May Be Retained

Data	Retention Period	Reason
Account records	Up to 30 days	Processing and confirming deletion
Backup copies	Up to 90 days	Disaster recovery (automatically purged)
Anonymized statistics	Indefinite	Environmental impact research (not linked to you)
Legal compliance records	As required by law	Tax, fraud prevention, or legal obligations

After these retention periods, all remaining data is permanently and irreversibly deleted.
